BHE Renewables Supports West Virginia Youth at Jackson County Junior Fair

August 2, 2024

Cottageville, WV — BHE Renewables was among this year’s bidders at the market livestock sale at the 2024 Jackson County Junior Fair, held July 22-27. Drawing visitors from throughout West Virginia and Ohio, the event is one of the largest livestock auctions of its kind in the state.

Auction animals bought by BHE Renewables were donated back to raise money for a local scholarship fund.

“These 4-H students should be extremely proud of all the time, care and effort they poured into raising these animals. We are honored to support them and invest in our local agricultural community,” said Dan Winters, Vice President of Communications and Public Relations for BHE Renewables. “This is a wonderful way to advance educational and leadership opportunities for the young people of Jackson County.”

The Jackson County Junior Fair Foundation, Inc., helps area youth reach their full potential with the support of caring adults who teach leadership, personal growth and career skills through agricultural education.

BHE Renewables is developing one of the world’s largest solar energy microgrids with battery storage to power a new titanium facility in Jackson County.
