Walnut Ridge Wind Project Walnut Ridge Wind Project

Walnut Ridge

Bureau County, Illinois

The Walnut Ridge wind project champions our Core Principles of Employee Commitment and Environmental Respect. The project employs WEST Environmental Services to conduct bird and bat studies to ensure compliance with wildlife protections. Walnut Ridge also embraces the safety culture that defines BHE Renewables and maintains an admirable safety record.

Approximately 2/3 of the generation from the project is sold to the General Services Administration, which is a government agency responsible for managing and supporting the basic functioning of federal agencies, and the balance is sold into PJM market.
