Nestled in west-central Texas in Borden and Scurry counties, the Gopher Creek wind project features 79 Vestas turbines strategically placed across rolling hills and expansive cotton fields. The area is home to an array of local wildlife and native plants, including prickly pear cacti, deer, cattle and rattlesnakes.
